How To Get A Connecticut Real Estate License

To successfully complete the course and receive your completion certificate, students must:

• Complete 60 hours of approved classroom instruction
• Attend classes LIVE
• Arrive on time and remain for the complete class
• Keep their camera on with their face visible during class
• Participate in accordance with school and state attendance requirements
• Pass the school’s final examination with a grade of at least 70%
• Complete all course requirements within one year of registration

Attendance is recorded. Students cannot receive credit for a class if they arrive late, leave early, turn off their camera, or otherwise fail to meet applicable attendance requirements.

Completing this course is an important educational step toward obtaining a Connecticut real estate salesperson license.

The general process includes:

1. Complete the approved 60-hour Real Estate Principles and Practices course.
2. Pass the school’s final examination.
3. Receive your course-completion certificate.
4. Submit the required application and documentation to the State of Connecticut.
5. Receive approval to register for the licensing examination.
6. Schedule and pass the required licensing examination.
7. Complete the remaining state licensing requirements.

According to the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection, salesperson applicants must be at least 18 years old and complete an approved 60-hour Real Estate Principles and Practices course. Broker supervision is not required to take the examination.

Course completion does not automatically issue a real estate license. State applications, examinations, fees, approvals, and other requirements are separate from school tuition and course completion.
